Dufour 485 Gl

Navark now has the honour to convey an extremely well cared for Dufour 485 GL with fantastic sailing characteristics. Only 1 owner (Swedish) since new, in an owners version with lots of new and updated equipment. Always maintained by a shipyare and very well taken cared of by the owners. The boat has been sailed by the owner family in the Mediterranean.

With its modern hull and elegant lines, the Dufour 485 Grand Large is a sight to behold in every harbour. The spacious cockpit offers both functionality and comfort, with thoughtful details that make sailing easy even for a small crew. The hull is stable and robust, designed to deliver performance in both light winds and rougher conditions.

The boat was purchased new, through Dufour's authorized dealer in Italy, by Swedish owners. The boat has been in the same ownership throughout its life and has been carefully looked after and upgraded over the years.

The boat is lifted on land every winter and the engine and s-drive are serviced every year, according to Volvo recommendations. Major services have been in the 2015 - 2016 and 2022 - 2023 seasons, when, among other things, the turbo and oil cooler were replaced with new ones. The boat is also polished and waxed every year, even the years the boat has been on land due to Covid-19. The owners had a brand new, genuine teak deck (12 mm) installed from Woltz Nautic in Germany in 2012. In 2025, careful maintenance of the teak deck will be done, with replacement of the groove and light sanding so that the deck will basically be in new condition.

The Dufour 485 is built with sailing enthusiasts in mind and the combination of high rig, deep keel and good sails makes the boat very fast. During the 2022 - 2023 season, all electronics were replaced with new ones and in 2024 a new heater was also installed.

When ordering the boat, it was supplemented with slatted bases for the beds in all three cabins, and in addition, extra bed mattress double cabin in the bow for extra good comfort.
Fold-down bathing platform with shower, hot and cold water, with folding ladder in stainless steel and teak.

MAINTENANCE
Bose surround speaker system with 5 speakers, complemented by Fusion RA 70 music player with sep. sub-bass and amplifier installed in 2023. Sound is very good! (2023)

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT
The system with 12 v consumption batteries was replaced in 2012 with a system with 2 volt batteries, 6 pcs 2 volt batteries provide 12 v.
The system works more than well, it has a significantly larger capacity and the consumption can be higher compared to 12 v service batteries. Engine start battery and generator start battery are still 12 v.
All 2 v and 12 v batteries were replaced with new ones in 2021 after the boat was on land without charging for a long time due to Covid-19. There was a so-called ‘lock-in’ in Greece, i.e. you were not allowed to go out (e.g. to work at the shipyard).

DECK EQUIPMENT
Main anchor is an Ultra stainless 25kg, incredibly good anchor (best in test) with 75m chain, Quick electric windlass with remote control on foredeck and with extra control unit in cockpit.

As an extra anchor there is a Danforth folding lightweight anchor for line. Fold-down bathing platform with shower, hot and cold water, with folding ladder in stainless steel and teak.Electric anchor shower on foredeck. 
Cockpit table replaced in 2013, and then painted approx. every two years.
Sprayhood is in original design but very rarely used.
Bimini top is available.
There is a set of cushions and back cushions for the cockpit benches on both sides in a light beige fabric that is visibly used and in need of new outer fabric.
2 removable Teak seats at the steering wheels in cockpit
All winches are fully electric from Harken, 2 x 43 halyard winches, 2 x 48 mains/spinnaker winches and 2 x 53 genoa winches.

SAILS & RIGGING
Facnor furling jib system, operated by electric winches from cockpit.
Genoa in Carbon Tape Drive from UK Sailmakers
Fully furled genoa in Carbon Tape Drive from UK Sailmakers 2015. The sails are very little used 2019 - 2023, it stands very nicely and will last another number of years.
Nylon gennacker from UK Sailmakers 2016, little used.
Hydraulic backstay stretcher available.
Running rigging continuously replaced, there will be some new this year as well, including new genoa sheets and main halyard.
Bulkheads for genoa adjustable from cockpit.

SAFETY
Life raft 8 persons, repacked several times but needs repacking now.
2 fire extinguishers replaced in 2022.
Permanently installed VHF, separate handheld VHF.

OTHER
New rubber dinghy from 2024 with engine Suzuki 2.5 hp 4 stroke outboard 2009, very little used, full service performed in 2025.
Plank used for easy landing and boarding.
