We present a very well-maintained and continuously updated Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 393 from 2002 – here in the attractive 2-cabin version. A spacious and well-proven cruising sailboat where the current owner has devoted great care to ongoing maintenance and has carried out several significant upgrades in recent years.
Oceanis Clipper 393 is a well-regarded cruising model that combines a spacious and comfortable interior with excellent sailing characteristics and easy handling. The model has received positive reviews in international boat tests, where Cruising World highlights the boat’s excellent performance under sail, the dry cockpit, and a well-thought-out deck arrangement—features that make the 393 well-suited for cruising with a smaller crew.
The attractive 2-cabin layout provides two substantial double cabins and two separate heads with showers. The saloon is spacious and social, complemented by a well-sized galley with ample workspace and storage areas. An Eberspächer diesel heater with outlets in both cabins and the saloon contributes to good comfort even during spring and autumn.
This particular example has been well-maintained, with significant investments made in recent years. Notably, both the mainsail and furling genoa were renewed in 2021. The sails are made of Vectran-reinforced Dacron—a more premium option focusing on durability and maintaining sail shape. The mainsail is fully battened with four full battens and two reefs, while the furling genoa is a generous 140% genoa at 41 m². A new Z-Spars boom was installed in 2023, and subsequently, items such as halyards, sheets, lifelines, covers, and cockpit cushions have been renewed.
In 2025, a 300 Ah Victron lithium battery bank with a new charger and updated terminal blocks was installed. The same year, extensive work was done on the underwater hull, where the bottom was sanded down and then rebuilt with self-polishing antifouling paint.
The equipment is well-suited for comfortable cruising, including a bow thruster, electric windlass, autopilot, Garmin plotter, B&G instruments, and solar panel. The Volvo Penta MD22 with 49 hp has received regular annual maintenance and winterization. The boat is hauled out every autumn, the topsides are polished and waxed annually, and the teak deck has been maintained regularly.
Overall, this is a well-maintained Oceanis Clipper 393 with a very appealing combination of comfort, excellent sailing characteristics, and easy handling. With its spacious 2-cabin layout, premium sails, and many valuable upgrades in recent years, she is a very interesting option for both family sailing and for a couple wanting to spend extended periods on board.
