Kerma SK95 S1 was built in 1918 at Stockholms Motorbåtsvarv by designer Erik Salander, the master of lines. Kerma is one of the fastest archipelago cruisers in the world, which she has proven several times with, among other achievements, three wins in the ÅFOR Offshore Race Classic over the past ten years, two wins in the Big Boat Race, and numerous victories in local regattas. She is constructed of pine with an interior and deck superstructure in mahogany, and a deck in Oregon Pine. Major renovations she has undergone include the replacement of the keel and planks below the waterline in 1975. The deck superstructure was renovated in 2008 with a new roof in Oregon Pine, and in 2016 the deck was renovated with new caulking. A new Vetus engine (28 hp) was installed in August 2018, and Kerma has been continuously upgraded in terms of hull and sails as well as deck equipment. A complete mast and rigging in carbon fiber, manufactured by Goetz Marine Technology, USA, can be acquired separately. Among Kerma’s navigation instruments are a B&G plotter and a True Heading AIS. She is also delivered with a large sail wardrobe and is ready to race or cruise, and of course, win regattas.
