Princess V40 from 2023 with only 164 engine hours – One owner since new, EU VAT paid, and always winter stored in a heated hall. Exceptionally well equipped from the factory with, for example, generator, Glass Cockpit, joystick, and teak deck, in a condition that can best be described as like new. Very easy to handle, incredibly spacious for its size, and with acceleration that makes every trip a pleasure – a sport cruiser that suits both couples and families.
Princess V40 features a deep V-hull that cuts through the water instead of slamming against it. This provides a smooth and dry ride even in windy conditions, maintaining speed without demanding more from the helmsman. Two Volvo Penta D6-340 engines deliver a measured top speed of 36.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed around 30 knots.
Handling is straightforward even for single-handed operation. The engines drive Aquamatic DuoProp drives with counter-rotating propellers, providing steady grip during acceleration, straight tracking at low speed, and predictable reversing. Joystick control for the drives, combined with a bow thruster, allows for lateral movement or on-the-spot rotation, making maneuvering in tight guest harbors a one-person job. The drives can be trimmed up for shallow waters, and electric windlasses both fore and aft with chain counters at the helm make anchoring and mooring as simple as docking.
What then surprises onboard is the fantastic layout. The saloon features a U-shaped sofa and a fully equipped galley, the master cabin forward has a freestanding double bed, and the aft cabin has two single beds that can be combined into a double. The bathroom has a separate shower compartment. Four people sleep comfortably in the cabins, and the saloon’s hi/lo table lowers to provide two additional berths when guests stay over—or when you want to curl up on the sofa and watch a movie on the TV on a rainy evening. This is a boat that feels significantly larger than its thirteen meters. The interior is finished throughout in exclusive walnut with a satin finish and solid surface Carrara White in the galley and bathroom.
The cockpit under the hardtop is where life onboard takes place—a second living room with sofa, table that lowers to a sunbed, and wetbar with electric grill, sink, and fridge, so lunch can be prepared where you sit. The sunroof opens when the weather allows, and the full-height canopy in grey Sunbrella keeps out the evening chill and extends the season at both ends. Forward, there is a large sunbed with integrated headrest, and aft, the electro-hydraulic bathing platform lowers into the water for swimming and easy boarding from the dock or tender. Teak decking on the side decks, foredeck, and bathing platform.
The equipment level reflects a well-considered factory order rather than aftermarket additions: Onan 4 kW generator with sound enclosure supplying power to everything without shore power, Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit with 16″ plotter, Garmin radar and VHF, autopilot, Eberspächer heating with timer to all areas, and ceramic electric hob instead of gas.
Condition is the deciding factor. Three seasons, a galley that is still virtually unused, and a boat that has never been stored outside over winter—gelcoat, teak, and electronics are like new, and the engine room is clean and in very good condition. Purchased new via Princess’s Swedish dealer with complete documentation from delivery. The V40 was recently discontinued from the Princess range, with a new price exceeding ten million SEK for the last units, which provides unusually stable resale value.
For sale due to relocation abroad. Located in Strömstad, where an attractive berth can be taken over by the new owner.
